HomeTown Bank
HomeTown Bank
We opened in Kent in 1898 as a state-chartered building and loan association called Home Building and Loan Company. After many years as a successful building and loan, we changed our name in 1953 to Home Savings and Loan Association, having taken on more services to savers and borrowers. In 1988, we became Home Savings Bank to better reflect the broad range of services offered to our customers, including an emphasis on mortgage lending plus consumer and commercial loans, checking accounts, Certificates of Deposit, and Individual Retirement Accounts. In 1994, we converted to a state-chartered savings bank, and in 2011 as Home Savings Bank, we officially changed our name to Hometown Bank to better align our name to the type of service we provide.
